The Blades
Perhaps the most important decision in building a wind generator is the blades.
Our blades make more power.....
Choosing a adequate rotor is imperative. In today's marketing game guys will say anything to try and gain an edge on the competitor. We will simply appeal to your common sense.
Our generator blades are perfect for Hurricane wind Generator and when using our blades we guarantee stated outputs. The size of the rotor is crucial.....it takes power to make power. We have the lowest cut in speed of any generator we know of in the industry and therefore do fine with the larger rotor. We would not recommend it for many of the fledgling wind companies on the market who have to use small blades and rely on high wind to reach cut in speed. Our rotors are designed to charge 12 volt battery banks in as low as 4 mph winds. The Galvanized Steel will provide service long after the plastic blades have withered away and aluminum has stress cracked.......ie three little pigs school of engineering.
Why 3 Blades?
Have you ever looked at commercial Wind Turbines?
How many blades do they have? 2,5,6,9,12?
No they have 3
This is because a lot of companies with a lot of engineers decided this was a good number.....to many blades creates turbulence and slows down the rotation and is inefficient.
The only reason to make a rotor with a lot of blades is simple.....if you have one type of blades and 3 will not turn you rotor you guessed it you have to add more....
Also we will not be adding a nifty video of our blades on the back of a truck......That is because our blades were tested in a Wind Tunnel

The Mount -Body-Vane
No expense was spared in designing our mounts and constructing them. These mount slid over a standard schedule 80 pipe with an OD of 1 7/8. These mounts are constructed by Twists and Turns Furniture in Roanoke VA known for their craftsmanship. Each mount comes with the graphics and all hardware necessary to get you up and going and keep this world class generator pointed in the wind. The assembley sits on a split collar and rides on a PCV bearing to reduce metal on metal friction. All mounts are powder coated for a finish that will last for years to come and welded as one peice
providing strength unlike many other companies on the market who have bolt together mounts that will not last over time.
