Roll Matala – 22" Filter Media Coil for Round Tanks & Vortex Filters (GREY)
Upgrade your filtration system with this pre-coiled Roll Matala media, designed for use in round filter tanks, vortex filters, and gravity flow systems. Ideal for DIY barrel filters and biological filtration setups.
- Diameter: 22 inches (actual size approx. 22.5" for snug fit)
- Thickness: 6 inches per coil

- Application: Drop-in cartridge for round tanks

Each roll is hand-cut to be slightly larger than the listed diameter (by ½″ to ¾″) to ensure a snug fit and prevent water bypass. For best results, measure your tank’s inside diameter and select the next size up if needed.
Matala coils are easy to clean with pond water and a pump—no need to remove the coil unless heavily soiled. Choose your preferred density (color) based on your filtration goals, from coarse to fine.
